Eastern Michigan has over 125 Cecchetti members who are actively pursuing excellence in their classical ballet training. If you have any questions about our committee, please feel free to contact any of our Board members. We would be happy to hear from you!
Become an Eastern Michigan Committee Board Member
The EMC Board consists of Cecchetti teachers who work closely with the Executive Board. They organize and assist with the Detroit area exams, Ballet Day Workshops, Teacher Refreshers, and the International Summer School. The Chairman of the EMC Board attends all Executive Board meetings and is the liaison between the two Boards.
Board members meets once a month September through June and offer open meetings three times a year. At the end of all open meetings, a teachers’ class is presented to refresh the work as a group. Any member of the EMC can volunteer to assist at the Detroit Area exams. This opportunity provides an excellent way to gain knowledge of the examination experience for both students and teachers.
